Phoenix Sustainable Investments has secured consent for two phases of a Solar Farm development near the RAF Wittering base in Cambridgeshire and has entered into a lease to develop the solar array.

In addition, Phoenix owns land nearby on the A1 trunk road, with planning permission for use as an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station on previously developed land.

Discussions are ongoing with the distribution grid operator, EV companies, and parties interested in a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to enable works to commence on the site in 2025.

The solar farm will help strengthen Peterborough’s move towards low carbon technologies, securing a more sustainable future for the area.
