A proud moment for Syntech and Medway

What a week, and what a night last Friday was. Best frock on, hair and make-up done I set off for the Corn Exchange in Rochester, the rest of the team scrubbed alright as well.

Standing on stage with some of our team as Syntech Biofuel was named the 2025 Medway Business Award winner for Sustainable Innovation was an experience we won’t forget. It was one of those moments that reminds you just how far you’ve come, who’s helped you get there, and what you’re working for.

But this award wasn’t just about Syntech. It was also about Medway.

Syntech was born here. Shaped here. Inspired here. Everything we do is driven by the people, organisations and energy that make Medway such a dynamic and forward-looking place to build a business. We’re proud to be part of a thriving local ecosystem that wants to move the region forward, together.

Over the years we’ve had the privilege of working with Vince, Simon, Harinder, Cathy, Mel and Sean at Medway Council, Tudor and Kaz at the Chamber of Commerce, Camilla and Sarah at LSIPs and KMFG, and so many other brilliant networks who share our commitment to collaboration, growth and progress.

Carol and the Medway Champions community, is living proof of what happens when businesses, colleges and local organisations support each other, celebrate each other, and genuinely want collective success. It has been powerful to be part of that.

I also want to shine a light on the incredible charities we’ve worked alongside through Pride in Medway. Their compassion, commitment and community spirit set the standard for all of us. They are real reminders that success isn’t just measured in business growth, but in how we support the place we call home.

Medway is a brilliant place to do business. It’s bold, ambitious, creative and full of talent, from engineers and entrepreneurs to educators and community leaders. You can feel the momentum building across the region, and Syntech is proud to be contributing to that journey.

So, to the judges, the organisers, our partners and every member of this extraordinary community, thank you. This was a proud night for Syntech, and a proud night for Medway.
