At Phoenix Sustainable Investments, we believe that true leadership extends beyond business – it’s about making a positive impact in the world around us. This summer, on 15th June, our CEO, Karl Hick, is taking that spirit of commitment to the road by participating in the legendary London to Brighton cycle ride, all to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
The British Heart Foundation is a cause close to Karl’s heart – and to many of ours at Phoenix. Their groundbreaking research, patient support, and public awareness campaigns have helped transform the lives of millions affected by heart disease across the UK.
Karl’s determination to ride the 55 miles from London’s bustling streets to Brighton’s iconic seafront isn’t just a personal challenge, it’s a demonstration of the values we hold dear as a business – resilience, compassion, and a drive to create meaningful change.
Karl said,
“I’ve always believed that challenges are an opportunity to make a difference, not just for yourself, but for others. Taking part in the London to Brighton ride is my way of giving back to a cause that matters, and I’m proud to be doing it with the support of the Phoenix team.”
Phoenix’s Altruistic division is at the heart of our community efforts. From supporting stroke recovery initiatives to advancing medical technologies, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back. Karl’s fundraising ride perfectly embodies this philosophy, combining personal passion with collective action to raise awareness and funds that will help fight heart disease.
How you can support
If you’d like to get involved, you can support Karl’s fundraising efforts by visiting his official British Heart Foundation fundraising page here. Every donation, no matter how small, will help fund life-saving research and support services for people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
Together, we can help make a difference.
