Phoenix Sustainable Investments was pleased to be nominated in the Business Innovation Award category at the first-ever Huntingdonshire Business Awards, held to celebrate the region’s thriving business community.
The Business Innovation Award, sponsored by Urban&Civic, recognises organisations that have made strong progress in their field - whether through the development of an innovative new product or the introduction of a groundbreaking process or system.
The event was professionally delivered and well-supported, bringing together businesses from across Huntingdonshire to celebrate achievement, ambition, and community.
Richard Broadhead, Director at Phoenix Sustainable Investments, said:
“It was a pleasure to attend the inaugural Huntingdonshire Business Awards and to see so many forward-thinking businesses recognised. Being nominated alongside such strong innovators in our region is something we’re very proud of.”
Daryl Kirkland, also from Phoenix Sustainable Investments, added:
“The event showcased the depth of talent and ambition across Huntingdonshire. It’s encouraging to see so many businesses committed to innovation and sustainability — values that are central to what we do at Phoenix.”
Glebe Farm Foods, a Kings Ripton-based producer of gluten-free oats, was announced as the category winner, with Paragraf, a Somersham company developing graphene-based electronic devices, receiving the Silver Award.

At Phoenix Sustainable Investments, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Our portfolio companies are driving change across multiple sectors – from making green retrofit accessible with SuSy House, and developing the UK’s most sustainable alternative fuel through Syntech Biofuel, to building the nation’s flood and climate resilience with Flood Technology Group, and revolutionising diagnostic care with Upfront Diagnostics.
